Install HPGnet

HPGnet can sit on your home screen or desktop like an app: its own icon, its own window, and the pages you have visited open even without a connection. It updates itself.

Chrome on Android

  1. Open the menu ⋮ at the top right.
  2. Tap Install app, or Add to home screen and then Install.

Safari on iPhone and iPad

  1. Tap Share, the square with the arrow. If you don't see it, tap ⋯ first.
  2. Tap Add to Home Screen; you may have to scroll down.
  3. If there is an Open as Web App switch, leave it on. Tap Add.

Chrome, Edge or Firefox on iPhone and iPad

  1. Tap Share, the square with the arrow, in the address bar or the menu.
  2. Tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.

Chrome on the desktop

  1. Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
  2. Click Install.

No icon? Open the menu ⋮ and look for Install HPGnet; in newer versions it sits under Cast, save and share.

Edge on the desktop

  1. Click the App available icon in the address bar, or open the menu ⋯ and choose Apps › Install HPGnet.
  2. Click Install.

Edge on Android

  1. Open the menu ≡ or ⋯ at the bottom.
  2. Tap Add to phone, then Install.

Safari on the Mac

  1. Choose File › Add to Dock, or click Share › Add to Dock.
  2. Click Add.

This needs macOS Sonoma or newer.

Samsung Internet

  1. Tap the install icon in the address bar, or open the menu ≡ and choose Add page to › Home screen.
  2. Tap Install or Add.

Firefox on Android

  1. Open the menu ⋮.
  2. Tap Add app to Home screen (in some versions Install), then Add.

Other browsers

Firefox on the desktop and some other browsers cannot install web apps. A bookmark works just as well: the pages you have visited still open without a connection.

To remove HPGnet, delete it like any other app.
